Dance Program
Choice School Program
Grades Served: Kindergarten - 5th Grades

Description:
As a Choice School of the Arts, all students participate in Dance class once a week during Fine Arts. Students who wish to become part of our dance program have the opportunity to audition for one of our four dance teams. Each dance team rehearses at different times throughout the week so that they can prepare to perform at our four in-house showcases each school year, as well as local and state competitions.
Theatre Program

Description:
As a Choice School of the Arts, all students participate in Theatre class once a week during Fine Arts. Students who wish to join the Theatre Troupe have the opportunity to audition for the program, as well as various roles in the musicals and plays that are performed. These musicals and plays are performed at our four in-house showcases each school year, as well as local and state competitions.
Band Program

Description:
As a Choice School of the Arts, students in 3rd Grade - 5th Grade have the opportunity to audition to become part of the school band. Students who become part of the band program practice daily with the Band Director in order to learn their craft and which instruments best fit their talents. All Band students perform in two showcases each year.
Dual Language Program

Description:
Students in Grades Kindergarten - 3rd Grade have the opportunity to become part of our Dual Language Program. Students who are in our Dual Language Program spend 50% of their day learning in English and 50% of their day learning in Spanish. By being part of this program, it is our goal to create strong bilingual learners.
Morning Announcements
Grades Served: 3rd - 5th Grades

Description:
The Northmore Morning Announcements Team learns the ins- and outs- of journalism. These students serve as news anchors, reporters, camera operators and/or sound operators.
Safety Patrols
Grades Served: 5th Grade
Club Sponsor: Mrs. Lexy Lapointe, 5th Grade Teacher
Description:
Students who demonstrate leadership qualities, are recommended to serve as safety patrols. They will have a duty post during arrival and/or dismissal, raise and lower the flags daily, and help ensure that students maintain safe practices throughout the day. Safety Patrols have the option of going to Washington D.C. every year as part of this program.
SECME

Description:
SECME is a Science, Engineering, Communication, Mathematics and Enrichment club where students participate in a variety of challenges. These challenges require the students to think critically, as well as utilize STEM principles in order to be successful. Students in this club attend the District Competition and, if they qualify, the state competition.
Yearbook
Grades Served: 4th - 5th Grades

Description:
The Yearbook club is comprised of students in 4th and 5th Grades that take photographs at school-wide events and work on creating the Yearbook for the school year. Students learn photography skills and photo editing skills while in this club.
